Jody grew up in the small town of Pottsboro, TX before going to college at Baylor University. After graduating from Baylor with a degree in Psychology, he and Angela Rogers co-founded Cheer Athletics in 1994. There were only two athletes at that very first practice in a park in Plano, TX, but over the years, Cheer Athletics has evolved into one of the largest and most-decorated all-star cheerleading organizations in the world. Jody won numerous NCA and World titles as an athlete, coach, and choreographer. Jody sat on the USASF Board of Directors for 5 years and the highly influential USASF Rules Committee for 10 years. He was also inducted into the USASF Hall of Fame in 2011.

Jody is our resident computer geek, and is known for busting out charts, spreadsheets, and statistics to keep the coaching staff on their toes when it comes to routine consistency. When he’s not in the gym, Jody enjoys cycling, competing in triathlons, and spending time with his family. He married his wife Ginger in 2002, and has two step-daughters, Madison and Makenzi, who both joined the CA family in 1998 and now maintain multiple roles in the Cheer Athletics organization.
